At Austin Texas Discus, we take pride in offering high-quality Discus fish that are born and raised right here in our own fish rooms. Each fish is carefully bred and cared for in the USA. We’re also excited to share that we’ll soon be expanding our selection to include a curated line of premium imported Discus to give our customers even more variety to choose from.
As a family-owned small discus breeding operation, we have over 100 tanks with a total water capacity of over 3,500 gallons. Our Discus are raised in well-maintained water circulation systems equipped with sump filtration. This setup minimizes the need for frequent large water changes while maintaining the high water quality essential for healthy growth and vibrant coloration. We use treated city tap water for all our tanks, including those housing breeding pairs.
For nutrition, we feed Tetra Color Tropical Granules—a premium granulated food—to all our Discus, from tiny fry to adult breeders, ensuring consistent health and development at every stage.
We are also breeding other tropical fish that are compatible with discus and share water conditions and temperature.
